During the EXPO RAW (part of the RAW ART FAIR in Rotterdam) TINKEBELL. rescued a chicken from her 'journey' to the slaughterhouse.
Saving the broiler was part of an installation in which the animal of just a few weeks old got the most perfect habitat the artist could think of.

Broilers (also called  meat-chickens) are special bred chickens that because of their artificially created appetite grow so fast that they are fattened within 7 weeks and slaughtered for the meat industry.

Who thought to buy a nice adult chicken
in the supermarket will be disappointed: The animal presented to you is rarely more than a few weeks old.

TINKEBELL. shows not only the state of your meat, but also the (in) possibility of dying from old age for the most common bird worldwide.
